The weather here in the south of England has been very cloudy and rainy the past week and with the lack of sunshine I've seen an obvious slowing down of the growth of my plants. However, they're still all growing, none have died, and only a couple of the lettuce sprouts are looking a little more delicate from the lack of sunshine and warmth.
I've had a friend move in to share the room with me, so we've moved things around, put the pallet up on its side and with the help of some garden wire secured them on the "shelves" of the pallet. We've moved everything else a little out of the way and he seems to be enjoying waking up surrounded by little seedlings growing all around. The new system is working quite well and the sprouts seem to be getting enough light even though it hasn't been sunny more than for 10 minutes this whole week.
Thank you thank you thank you for all the myriad of circumstances that have provided me with extra large bay windows in my bedroom :)

Here you can see our new setup that appears to be functioning well. Now just hoping for more sunlight so I can start harvesting soon!
