Hello there! So this is my first blog post in my sharing with the universe of this incredibly strange journey I appear to be on. I've just finished watching "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", during which I broke my water fast of approximately 36 hours with half an organic lemon "reamed" into my recycled Voss water cylindrical glass bottle. I then proceeded to indulge myself in instant noodles with vegetarian dumplings, kale, mushrooms and broccoli, 2 apples, an entire bar of dark chocolate and then a cigarette... effectively succumbing to every desire I had been resisting over the prior 36 hours within the space of 45 minutes.
The moment of breaking my fast was probably the most interesting moment of the entire experience, as I watched my body-mind feel all those desires that were being suppressed and go for it as the supPressure was let up. From my experience of letting go, this pressured FORCE of change is not a healthy method of implementing longer term changes, with a softer more gradual "naturalness" attitude apparently creating a healthier attitude of mind and also lesser bodily tension.
During my fast I mostly spent my time reading about fasting, how to do it effectively and how to end it, as well as enjoying some fictional audiobooks (Speaker of the Dead - Orson Scott Card) and a few "conscious" films of Mr. Nobody, Five People You Meet in Heaven and some videos from gaia.com. I also managed to go for a walk to the beach, make some cleansing essential oil blends for my aromatherapy diffuser, answer a few emails concerning potential production company work as well as the whole exchange/gift economy experiment I'm in the process of attempting, but more on that in another post.
Currently I am listening to "Creativity & Inspiration Binaural Beats" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO539nZs5fw at low volume in addition to Happy Classical Music: Uplifting, Inspirational, Motivational, Upbeat, famous Classical Songs - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfZXabxZRJ4 which has a great video for putting in the background.
